Questions about Rigly? Answers below. If you don't see your question, email us — we'll write back in plain English.

Getting started

How do I add my first rig?

From the welcome screen, tap Add your first rig. Enter your rig nickname, year, make, model, length, and rig type (Class A / B / C, travel trailer, 5th wheel, or truck camper). Rigly builds your curated maintenance schedule from there.

What rig types does Rigly support?

Class A, Class B, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, 5th wheels, and truck campers. Each type ships with a different curated chassis + house schedule.

Where do the maintenance intervals come from?

Hand-curated from owner's manuals (Tiffin, Forest River, Airstream, Winnebago, Jayco, Grand Design, and more) and consensus from r/GoRVing / iRV2 / RV Travel community threads. Not LLM-generated. Each item ships with a sourced reference where applicable.

Trip Mode

How do pre-trip checklists work?

Open the Trips tab, tap Start a pre-trip check, pick your rig (or skip if you only have one). Walk through the checklist — exterior, tires & wheels, house systems, interior. Mark items complete. When you're done, tap Log this trip to capture the destination and dates.

Can I edit the pre-trip checklist?

The default checklist is curated and ships free. To create custom checklists for specific rigs or scenarios (boondocking, full-hookup, winter trips), upgrade to Rigly Pro.

What happens to the checklist snapshot after the trip?

Rigly saves a per-trip snapshot of the checklist as you completed it. You'll see it in the trip detail view and in the PDF export.

Service entries

How do I log a service?

Tap a service item from your Library, or use the Log a service entry button. Enter the date, mileage, cost, and any notes. Optionally attach a photo or scan a receipt (Pro).

How does the receipt scanner work?

Tap Scan a receipt in the log entry sheet. Point your camera at the receipt — Rigly uses Apple's VisionKit + Vision OCR on-device (no cloud) to auto-fill the date and amount. Review the populated fields before saving.

Can I delete or edit a service entry?

Yes — tap any past entry in the Service Log to open the edit sheet. Changes save instantly.

Subscription & restore

What's free vs Pro?

Free forever: 1 rig, the full chassis + house curated schedule, up to 5 service log entries, 1 saved pre-trip checklist, all manual entry, offline-everything. Rigly Pro ($39.99/yr or $89 lifetime): unlimited rigs and entries, receipt scanner, Trip Mode with unlimited custom checklists, PDF export of rig history, custom service items + intervals, seasonal triggers, photo attachments per entry.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the paywall (Settings → Go Pro, or any Pro feature), tap Restore purchase at the bottom. Rigly asks the App Store for your purchase history and re-activates Pro.

How do I cancel my Yearly subscription?

Open the iOS Settings app → tap your Apple ID name → Subscriptions → tap Rigly Pro → tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features remain until the end of the current billing period.

What about the Lifetime plan?

Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Once activated, it never expires and isn't a subscription. There's nothing to cancel or auto-renew.

Privacy & data

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone, in SwiftData (local-only). Rigly has no server. Your rigs, service entries, trips, checklists, and photos never leave your device unless you share them yourself (via PDF export or the iOS share sheet).

Does Rigly sync to iCloud?

Not in v1. Cloud sync is on the v2 roadmap as a separate Pro tier. Your data lives on the device you installed Rigly on.

How do I back up my rig history?

Export a PDF (Settings → Export rig history). The PDF includes every service entry, trip, and checklist snapshot. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or share via AirDrop / email.
